About Me
I love photography and the stories we can tell with images. Being able to capture a moment, thought, or feeling permanently in a picture is a wonderful thing!
I've enjoyed being creative since I was young. Watching my mum bake, tagging along with my dad in his workshop. The two things I remember looking forward to the most at school were our creative writing sessions, and craft time! Copperwork, making fabric photo frames, cane basket weaving, papier machie over balloons, clay pinch pots and more.
These days, when not at the day job, I can be found relaxing creatively - sewing, cross stitching, knitting, paper crafting, jewellery making, writing - always with a cup of tea and a homemade biscuit beside me.

I've been photographing since I was about 9 years old. My first camera was a gorgeous pink plastic one and I enjoyed taking photographs from the very start. Mostly, I took photos of family and friends, and my dogs! I did attempt, under the guidance of my knowledgeable dad, some landscape and nature photography and a few of these early photographs still survive. I have kept almost all of the negatives from when I first started ('negatives' - now I'm feeling old!) through to when I bought my first digital camera in 2006.
Nowdays, my trusty point-and-shoot camera goes with me almost everywhere, always on the lookout for a good picture - something unusual, captivating, curious or beautiful.
